On August 17, 2019, Cumberland Valley Lodge No. 315 and Orrstown Lodge No. 262 will be hosting a bus trip to the Grand Lodge in Philadelphia, Pa. We will be taking a tour and holding an Extra Meeting for the purpose of conferring a Master Masons Degree. The approximate schedule for the day will be as follows:
7:00 AM – Leave Shippensburg, Pa. (location will be announced prior to trip)
10:00 AM – Arrive at the Grand Lodge in Philadelphia, Pa. Guided tour of the Grand Lodge building
12:00 PM – Lunch at Reading Depot next to the Grand Lodge (this is on your own and not GL hosted)
1:00 PM – Cumberland Valley Lodge No 315 will open a Lodge in the Egyptian Room during which, Orrstown Lodge No. 262 will confer a 3rd Degree
3:00 PM – Expected time of departure from the Grand Lodge to return to Shippensburg, Pa.
Cost is $45 per person; wives, significant others, and families are welcome to attend, but all wishing to attend the meeting and Degree conferral MUST be a Master Mason and present a valid dues card for your Lodge. Failure to comply with this will result in your inability to enter the meeting.
Brother S. Eugene Herritt, Right Worshipful Grand Master, as well as Brother John D. Cook, P.M., District Deputy of District 3 will be in attendance during the meeting and degree conferral. This promises to be a special day full of friendship and fun. If you have never toured, or visited, the Grand Lodge, don’t miss this trip!
Note: A dinner stop will be planned for the return trip home; No alcohol will be permitted on the bus or at the Grand Lodge; additional details and meeting location will be released to those signed up.
